How to Use Leaderboard Slides in EngageSlide – Quiz Rankings & Scores
Expert Guide: Using Leaderboard Slides
What is a Leaderboard Slide?
The Leaderboard is where champions are made. It displays the top-performing participants across all quiz slides in your session, showing their names, scores, and rank. It's the ultimate tool for driving competition and excitement.
Why use it?
- Reward High Performers: Publicly acknowledge the smartest or fastest people in the room.
- Gamification: Transform a simple session into an intense competition that keeps everyone focused.
- Dramatic Finale: Use a final leaderboard to announce the overall winner with flair.
Quick Setup Guide
1
Select "+ New Slide" and choose "Leaderboard" from the Quiz section.
2
You can add a leaderboard at any point to show progress, or just once at the very end.
3
Configure how many participants to show in the Right Column Settings.
Advanced Settings
🏆 Show Top Participants
Set the limit for how many names appear. Top 5 or Top 10 are the most common choices for a clean, impactful visual.
📊 Cumulative Scoring
The leaderboard automatically sums up points from every quiz slide. It reflects the total expertise gathered since the beginning of the presentation.
👤 Personalized View
Participants will also see their own rank and score on their personal devices, even if they aren't in the Top Top list.
Pro Tips for Maximum Impact
- The Mid-Game Check: Show a leaderboard halfway through to motivate those who are just behind the leaders.
- Build Suspense: Don't reveal the final results immediately. Use a Content slide to talk, then switch to the Leaderboard for the big reveal.
- Celebrate the Winner: Give a shout-out to the Top 3 performers! If it's a corporate event, consider offering a small prize.
- Leaderboard Music: Toggle transition music in the settings to make the announcement feel like a game show climax.
Celebrate the champions of intelligence.
