What is a Slide Poll?

Slide Poll is a core interactive feature of EngageSlide that allows presenters to create real-time surveys. Unlike traditional static slides, Slide Polls transform your listeners from "passive viewers" into "active participants."

Note: This demo shows the step-by-step process of adding options and how the chart updates live as audience members vote.

1. Creating a New Slide Poll

  1. In the presentation editor, click the "+ New Slide" button on the left sidebar.
  2. Under INTERACTIVE QUESTIONS, select the "Poll" slide type.
  3. A new poll slide will be added to your presentation.

2. Content Settings

  • Question/Title: Enter the question you want the audience to answer.
  • Description: Add extra context or instructions (optional).
  • Question Image: Upload an image to make the question more visually engaging.
  • Options: Add your possible answers (minimum 2). You can easily reorder or delete them.
  • Correct Answer: Toggle this on if you want to turn the poll into a quiz with a specific right answer.
  • Multiple Choice: Allow the audience to select more than one option.
  • Hide Results: Keep results hidden from the audience until you choose to reveal them.
  • Chart Type: Choose how to visualize the data (Bar, Pie, Donut, or Dot chart).

3. Audience & Security Settings

Control the participation flow by clicking the Settings (Gear Icon):

  • Collect Info: Require participants to enter Name/Email/Phone to track who voted.
  • Reactions: Enable emojis like "Heart", "Clap", or "Smile" for a livelier atmosphere.
  • Moderation: Screen audience questions or comments before they go public.

4. Presentation & Participation

When you click "Present":

  1. For Presenter: The screen will display a QR code and join link. Icons and totals update live as votes come in.
  2. For Audience: Simply scan the QR, pick an option, and hit Submit. The interface is optimized for both mobile and desktop.
